At Lindale, our motto ‘Let your light shine’, is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children learn best when they are happy, and learning is exciting and challenging.

Lindale Church of England Primary School wish to appoint a teaching assistant (up to 32.5 hours). The role will involve supporting individual children with SEND and working with groups. The applicant should have a willingness to work across all year groups. Additional hours for the Breakfast Club may be available. Please indicate in your cover letter if you would be interested in these.

Lindale is a small village school in a beautiful setting at the entrance to the Cartmel Peninsula. It is within easy travelling distance of Barrow and the motorway. There are 45 on roll, including the Nursery. We have happy, enthusiastic children who love coming to school and are keen to learn, along with a strong and dedicated staff team.  Our Christian ethos and values, very caring staff team and exceptionally supportive governors and parents are reflected in the excellent relationships and positive ‘can do’ attitudes that exist in school.

Our most recent excellent church school inspection in the Summer term of 2023 recognised that our Christian values form the basis of a very caring community.  OFSTED judged our school to be good in all areas during their inspection in February 2024.

We are looking for a highly motivated TA with experience in a classroom setting who: -
•    is caring, nurturing, patient and has high expectations of themselves and others
•    has experience of working with children with SEND
•    is able to use positive behaviour management strategies
•    has at least NVQ2 or equivalent
•    is able to carry out activities with individuals and groups
•    can promote an inclusive whole school ethos
•    shares our vision and ethos for the highest standards in all aspects of school life

Lindale Church of England School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children, so therefore the post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and excellent professional references will be sought.

For further information and an application pack please email: admin@lindale.cumbria.sch.uk or visit the vacancy page on our website https://www.lindale.cumbria.sch.uk/.

Please return your application and a supporting letter summarising the date you are available to start and your suitability for the post to admin@lindale.cumbria.sch.uk

We would love to show you around; visits to the school can be arranged by appointment. Interviews will be held on the morning of Monday 15th December 2025.  If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact Wendy Wood on 015395 33480.
