Scale NJC 12 - 14 £28,598 - £29,540 pro rata (plus increment for ELSA lead)

Furness Education Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria serving the Furness Community, located near the centre of the historic shipbuilding town and close to the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park. Currently comprised of seven academies including Furness Academy, Yarlside Academy, Victoria Academy, Parkside Academy, Newton Village Academy, Lindal and Marton Primary School and Walney School, the Trust aims to develop best practice in each school across the whole Trust, by collaborating and working together to give the best of everything to every child.

 Parkside Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Senior Teaching Assistant and ELSA Lead with primary school experience. The role will include responsibility for leading the ELSA programme. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated and hardworking staff team.

The successful candidate will:
•    Have previous experience of working 1:1 and supporting small groups with targeted learning tasks.
•    Have a good knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
•    Have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
•    Be very experienced in pastoral support.
•    Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children.
•    Be an excellent communicator.
•    Be a committed team member but also be able to work with independence when required.
