Parkside Academy is a single form Primary school with approximately 300 students, a Good Ofsted rating and excellent potential for the future. The school is part of the Furness Education Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. Currently comprised of seven academies, the Trust aims to develop best practice in each school across the whole Trust, by collaborating and working together to give the best of everything to every child. Being located near the centre of the historic shipbuilding town and close to the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park, Parkside Academy serves the Furness community.
The Local Academy Committee is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated coach to provide a full curriculum of physical education and a broad range of extra-curricular sporting activities. The successful candidate will join our highly motivated, experienced and hardworking staff team.
The successful candidate will:
• Have experience of working in the sports coaching and/or education sector.
• Have experience working with EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Hold a Level 2 sports qualification or equivalent in the sports/education sector.
• Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all our children.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Have a knowledge and understanding of effective pupil behaviour management.
• Be a committed team member but also able to work with independence when required.
• Have the ability to engage and enthuse all children through sport.
