Following requests from Town and Parish Councils and local Council Members, and feedback received from the local communities during initial consultation regarding the introduction of 20mph speed limit schemes, Westmorland and Furness Council are proposing changes to the speed limits at various locations across the Eden area.
These proposed changes form part of the our 20mph initiative, supported by our 20mph policy, aimed at enhancing road safety and improving the quality of life for residents.

- Glenridding
- Kings Meaburn
- Nenthead
- Orton
- Ousby
- Patterdale
- Ravenstonedale
- Temple Sowerby

Next steps
All feedback received will be considered to determine which proposed speed limits will be progressed. The Eden Locality Board will consider a report at a future meeting to determine whether the proposals are introduced.
