Proposed orders to introduce parking protocols in Eden and Penrith

Information about our proposals to introduce parking protocols in the Eden and Penrith areas

We're proposing to introduce the following orders:

  • The County of Cumbria (Various Roads, District of Eden) (Consolidation and Provision of Traffic Regulations) (Order 2022) Variation No. 1 20><
  • The County of Cumbria (Various Roads, Penrith) (Consolidation of Traffic Regulations) (Order 2023) Variation No. 1 20><

The effects of these orders will be to introduce a protocol for the management and operation of residents parking exemption and visitor permit schemes in various places in Westmorland and Furness. 

One of the orders refers to areas previously covered by Eden District Council before the creation of Westmorland and Furness Council.
