Traffic Regulation Order 2026, Proposed Variation No.3 (ref 20mph/2026/Stat.Con/Furness)

Proposed changes

The effect of the proposed Order will be to:

Introduce 20 miles per hour speed limits on various roads in the following areas:
- Hawcoat and Newbarns ward:
  - Greengate Junior School
  - Holy Family Catholic Primary School
  - St Bernard’s Roman Catholic High School
- Old Barrow and Hindpool ward - Barrow Island Community Primary School
- Ormsgill and Parkside ward - Ormsgill Nursery and Primary School
- Risedale and Roosecote ward - Yarlside Primary School
- Walney Island ward - South Walney Infant School
Remove the 30 miles per hour speed limit from various roads, or sections of road, around:
- Barrow Island Community Primary School
- Greengate Junior School
- Holy Family Catholic Primary School
- Ormsgill Nursery and Primary School
- South Walney Infant School
- St Bernard’s Roman Catholic High School
- Yarlside Primary School
