Our insurance arrangements and how to make a claim against us.
You're entitled to pursue a claim for compensation against us if:

We have a duty to safeguard public funds and will use the information you provide for the prevention and detection of fraud. We may also share your information with other bodies responsible for auditing and administering public funds for the same reasons.
Making a false claim for compensation is a criminal offence which can lead to prosecution.

Complete a customer incident questionnaire (DOCX , 204KB) if your injury, damage or other type of loss has been caused by:
- a Council motor vehicle
- Windermere ferry or other Council owned lake vessel
- any other circumstances

Please consider including any evidence you may have to support your claim, such as photos, repair estimates etc. However, if you attach very large files to your email, it may not reach us.
Personal injury claims that fall within the scope of the Ministry of Justice's personal injury claims portal should be submitted to our insurers, via the MoJ portal.
Our employer’s liability and public liability insurer is Maven Public Sector, under policy number P23CASLFG00281, and claims are handled by their appointed handlers, Crawford TPA.
