If you live in a residential property in the Barrow area can order new or replacement bins and boxes that are:
- damaged
- lost
- stolen
Bins and boxes for household waste and recycling
You can use our online form to request:
- a 120-litre grey bin for general waste – one per household
- a recycling box for glass
- a recycling bin for all other recyclable items
You cannot use this form to ask for garden waste bins.
You’ll need to log in to your My Barrow account to submit your online form.

Large bins for household waste
You can request a larger grey bin (240 litres) for household waste if you meet one of the following criteria:
- you have six or more people living permanently at your address
- there are five people and two children in nappies living in your property

Garden waste
We have a subscription service for garden waste collections.
If there’s a garden waste bin already at your new address with a valid subscription sticker, you can use it. Our subscription service works per bin, so the previous resident cannot take it with them. You’ll need to buy a new subscription the following March if you want us to carry on collecting your garden waste.
Replacement garden waste bins
You can request a replacement garden waste bin (that you have a subscription for) if your bin is lost, stolen or damaged.

If you do not have a garden waste subscription and want a bin, you’ll need to sign up for our garden waste subscription service.
