Alternatively, you can:
- call us by telephone
- visit us at South Lakeland House in Kendal
You can find our contact details at the end of this page.
We’re experiencing a high demand of requests, which means there may be a delay in supplying boxes. In the meantime, you can put your recycling out in similar boxes of your own. Please separate the items and make sure we can see what’s inside.
Garden waste
We have a subscription service for garden waste collections.
If there’s a garden waste bin already at your new address with a valid subscription sticker, you can use it. Our subscription service works per bin, so the previous resident cannot take it with them. You’ll need to buy a new subscription the following March if you want us to carry on collecting your garden waste.
Replacement garden waste bins
You can request a replacement garden waste bin (that you have as subscription for) if your bin is lost, stolen or damaged.
Find out how to request a replacement for a bin you have a subscription for.
New garden waste bins
If you do not have a garden waste subscription and want a bin, you’ll need to sign up for our garden waste subscription service.
If you have a lot of garden waste
If you have a large amount of garden waste, you can:
Large grey bins
If you have six or more people permanently living in your house, you may request a large grey bin.
Before you contact us, you must make sure that you’re not putting the following items in your grey bin:
- paper or card
- glass
- cans
- plastic bottles, tubs, pots and trays

Medical waste
We’ve published guidance on what you can put in your household waste and when you should instead request a clinical waste collection.
