Hidden Treasures: visit the Mayor's Parlour
Discover one of Kendal Town Hall's hidden gems - the Mayor's Parlour. This small but fascinating room is filled with historic artifacts, from Queen Katherine Parr's Book of Devotions, to Kendal's civic sword, maces and town charters. Highlights include paintings by George Romney and Cuthbert Rigby's Hiring Fair on New Road Common (1898).
Whether you stay for five minutes or linger longer, it's a chance to explore Kendal's rich heritage in one remarkable room.
