Submit your photos as an individual
Thank you for your interest in Together Through the Lens. This project invites people across Westmorland and Furness to share photos and stories that capture everyday life, community, identity, and places that matter to them with the aim of creating a collection of images and stories celebrating our area and its people.
How to take part
As long as you live, work or study in Westmorland and Furness, you can take part.
You can submit:
- up to three photos (not screenshots), in JPG/JPEG format, no larger than 10MB per image
- a short story or description for each photo
You must submit your entry by 1 November 2026.
Storytelling
For each photo, please provide:
- a title
- where it was taken
- tell us about the image (100 word limit per image)
You might include what is happening in the photo, why you chose it, and why it is meaningful to you.
Privacy and consent
Participants are responsible for ensuring that consent has been obtained, where required, from identifiable individuals featured in the photos, including parental or guardian consent for identifiable children under the age of 18. Also, you must ensure photos do not knowingly infringe copyright, intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
