A Warm Spot offers a warm, welcoming space for people to visit this winter if they need it. They are run by a range of different organisations including churches, village halls, local councils and libraries.

Kendal Library (warm spot)

Various activities for all ages. Free wi-fi. Public PCs to all members, easy to join. Books and online resources available to members.

Kendal People's Cafe

We serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, cakes and hot lunches on a pay as you can donation basis. We also offer takeaways and a community larder of groceries.

Keswick Library (warm spot)

All public libraries with access to the space, free membership of the library, pc access, borrowing resources, printing, regular groups and events

Kirkby Lonsdale Community Cupboard

Hot drink in a warm friendly community hall, opportunity to either have a drink each day or book in for lunch (Monday), Soup and a film (Tuesday) or simply a drink and cake (Friday).
We operate a pay as you are able service

Kirkby Stephen Local Link (warm spot)

Warm welcome from library staff onsite, browsing and borrowing of library stock, free requests service, free public Wi-Fi, 2 hours free use of public PCs per day, printing, toilets, hearing aid batteries.
Slightly limited space to read or study.

Kirkby Thore Memorial Hall - Renew Wellbeing Eden

A warm welcome for all. Play board games, join in with craft activities or simply sit and chat. Tea, coffee and cake provided.
Facilities: Accessible Toilets; Charging Facilities; Child Friendly; Food Available; Free Wifi; Hot Drinks; Other Refreshments; Parking.

Manna House (Cumbria)

Community Centre with advisors for benefits and housing issues; computers and phone; showers, clothing, outdoor equipment; referrals to other agencies, including food bank.
Free lunch at 12noon; free coffees and teas throughout the day; often free toast, biscuits, etc
