Residents, families, staff and the wider community are being invited to share their views on options for the future of Applethwaite Green Care Home in Windermere.
No decisions have been taken about the final outcome for the care home. The consultation will:
- gather views
- understand impacts
- ensure that any future changes prioritise safety, continuity of care, and quality of life for residents
The consultation will run from Thursday 14 May to Wednesday 5 August 2026.
The options being consulted on for Applethwaite Green are:
- do nothing
- refurbish Applethwaite Green
- rebuild at Applethwaite Green
- close Applethwaite Green
