The Specialist Advisory Teaching Team (SATs) for Autism/Communication and Interaction Differences consists of Specialist Advisory Teachers and Specialist Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs).

We provide advice and guidance to schools to help support your child in achieving the next steps in their development. We look at your child as a whole, taking account of their strengths and differences.

We consider:

  • emotional wellbeing
  • sensory differences

The support we offer to schools includes:

  • early intervention and targeted support
  • consultation
  • staff training
  • modelling and coaching
  • individual work
  • advice and guidance on strategies, interventions and approaches

Free training

We offer free training to schools licensed by 'The Autism Education Trust'.

We currently deliver the following modules:
