Special schools
Special schools teach children and young people with an EHCP whose needs are more complex and cannot be met at their local mainstream school.
There are 3 Local Authority maintained Special schools in Westmorland and Furness:
- Sandside Lodge School in Ulverston
- Sandgate School in Kendal
- George Hastwell School in Barrow-in-Furness
