Westmorland and Furness Council has issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) to specialist demolition contractors as part of a process to shape a ‘once in a lifetime’ transformation of Barrow town centre.

Eleven new subsidised bus services across Westmorland and Furness have now been operating since Spring, and the summer holidays mean more people can get about to more places without having to use a car. Amongst the new routes is the 105 linking Greystoke and Penrith, which can be used to visit Greystoke Castle, the village's open air heated swimming pool and other attractions.
