Kitchen Assistant

The Governors at Appleby Primary School would like to appoint a kitchen assistant(Maternity Cover) to provide a high-quality catering service which supports the wellbeing of pupils and staff to start no later than 3rd June 2024.

The post will be 11.25 hours per week , term time 

The successful candidate will:
- Support the provision of high-quality school meals in line with government guidelines and legislation on school nutrition standards
- Prepare food in line with the expectations of the kitchen team leader
- Serve food to pupils and staff
- Undertake washing up activities
- Undertake general cleaning in accordance with Health and safety requirements
- Under the direction of the kitchen team leader, follow the school catering standards legislation and the school’s policies relating to food safety, health and safety and allergens 
- Ensure that the kitchen and dining area are kept clean and hygienic
- Ensure that kitchen equipment is used safely and according to operating manuals

Kitchen Team Leader
