A traffic regulation order (TRO) is a legal change to the rules of the road, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Orders enforce traffic and parking restrictions, such as:
- one way routes
- speed limits
- controlled parking zones
- yellow lines
- loading restrictions
Changes can either be permanent, such as adding a new loading bay, or temporary, such as closing the road for an event.
