What Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) are used for, proposed orders and made orders.
A traffic regulation order (TRO) is a legal change to the rules of the road, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Orders enforce traffic and parking restrictions, such as:
Changes can either be permanent, such as adding a new loading bay, or temporary, such as closing the road for an event.

Westmorland and Furness Council hereby give notice that on 22 July 2025 it made the above Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police, in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
