A Warm Spot offers a warm, welcoming space for people to visit this winter if they need it. They are run by a range of different organisations including churches, village halls, local councils and libraries.

Alston Library (warm spot)

Warm welcome from library staff onsite, browsing and borrowing of library stock, free requests service, free public Wi-Fi, 2 hours free use per day of library PCs, printing, slightly limited space to study or read, storysacks and dementia bags
Hearing aid batteries. Parking outside

Alston Town Hall

Teas, coffee, cakes, hot soup with a scone or roll served at 12pm, afternoon entertainment, bingo, live music, quiz, board games, free wifi plus informative talks from guests on things like how to keep your home warm fire safety etc. Everyone welcome.

Ambleside Library (warm spot)

Various activities for all ages. Free wi-fi. Public PCs to all members, easy to join. Books and online resources available to members.

Appleby Eden Cricket Club - Renew Wellbeing

Renew Wellbeing - Fridays from 10am - 2pm, including a soup lunch. This is a welcoming space that is open for everyone and where it's OK to not be OK. Facilities: Accessible Toilets; Charging Facilities; Food Available; Free Wifi; Hot Drinks
