A second round of the Council's Greening Businesses Scheme is open for applications.

On Wednesday 11 March 2026 between 10am and 2pm, local people can plant trees and be part of the legacy of the project. The scheme includes significant planting commitments including over 700 trees, 9,000 shrubs, 8,900 hedgerow plants, and 12,800 aquatic plants, enhancing both land and water habitats

Our teams continue to support traders after the necessary closure of Barrow market hall this week on health and safety grounds.
