The SEND Partnership Board
The SEND Partnership Board monitors all the SEND activity and drives SEND improvement across the partnership.
They review and approve new strategies and policies and oversee the:
- SEND Improvement Plan [PDF 362KB]
- self-evaluation
The membership
The membership includes representatives from all partners, including:
- Westmorland and Furness Local Authority
- lead member for SEND
- education providers, including:
- early years
- post 16
- primary, secondary and special schools
- Social care, including:
- children's
- adults
- health providers
- SEND Alliance Cumbria (SENDAC) - the statutory parent carer forum
What the SEND Board has done so far
The Board has worked on the following:
- The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
- Neuro-developmental Pathway delivery and development
- Section 19 policy
- Transitions guidance
- Delivering Better Value in the SEND programme
The SEND Partnership Board meets on a half termly basis
