What we have done so far

Special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) Inspection 2025

Following the SEND Inspection in February 2025, the SEND Partnership have implemented an Improvement Plan. This focuses on improving the experiences and outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Our achievements

We have:

  • produced a coproduction charter
  • held online workshops with parents
  • held monthly drop ins across the authority for parents and carer, attended by a range of professionals
  • produced termly newsletters with parents and carers
  • produced rolling surveys which are analysed quarterly and used the findings to feed into our improvement plan
  • enhanced our social media presence
  • worked in partnership with Health colleagues to improve neurodevelopmental pathways

What's next

We plan to:

  • develop the SEND Local Offer
  • continue to engage positively with parents, carers and children and young people
  • work in partnership with a wide range of external agencies
  • deliver our SEND Inspection Improvement Plan
  • produce a termly update report on progress made against the improvement plan
