The Governing Body is seeking to appoint, with effect from 1st September 2024, an outstanding and motivated teacher of History. The post holder will have an essential ability to teach History at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Teacher of Mathematics

From 1 September 2024

The Lakes School is seeking to employ a motivated and positive individual to join our team as a Teacher of Maths.  

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the ability and age range, including GCSE and A Level Maths, and will join experienced colleagues within the school.  The post would be suitable for either an NQT/ECT or more experienced teacher.

Kitchen Assistant

The Governors at Appleby Primary School would like to appoint a kitchen assistant(Maternity Cover) to provide a high-quality catering service which supports the wellbeing of pupils and staff to start no later than 3rd June 2024.

The pay rate will be SS OP1 £23151 per annum pro rata ( this includes the living wage supplement – hourly rate £12.00) term time only.

The post will be 11.25 hours per week

The successful candidate will:
-   Support the provision of high-quality school meals in line with government guidelines and legislation on school nutrition standards
-    Prepare food in line with the expectations of the kitchen team leader
-    Serve food to pupils and staff
-   Undertake washing up activities
-    Undertake general cleaning in accordance with Health and safety requirements
-    Under the direction of the kitchen team leader, follow the school catering standards legislation and the school’s policies relating to food safety, health and safety and allergens 
-   Ensure that the kitchen and dining area are kept clean and hygienic
-    Ensure that kitchen equipment is used safely and according to operating manuals

•    Although there is no class teaching commitment with the post, reflective of our staff structure moving forward and as a consequence of staff absence, providing flexible cover on occasion for class teachers will form part of this role.
