About Family Hubs

Welcoming spaces for families and the wider community in Westmorland and Furness, offering practical and emotional support for you and your family.

Family Hubs provide support and guidance to families with children aged 0-19 (25 with SEND) in Westmorland and Furness. We aim to keep children, young people and their families happy, healthy and safe by providing spaces and places to learn and thrive.

Activities and support

We run a range of activities and support groups in our family hubs, including:

  • access to health visitors
  • activities for children under 5 years old
  • financial, debt and benefits advice
  • housing needs
  • infant feeding
  • maternity support
  • mental health support
  • parenting support
  • support for young people

Any family living in Westmorland and Furness with children aged 0–19 (or up to 25 with SEND) is welcome. You don’t need a referral, just drop in and speak to a member of the team.
