Children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing directory
This Children and Young People's Emotional Health and Wellbeing Directory brings together a wide range of emotional health and wellbeing services, resources and support available for children and young people across Westmorland and Furness.
The directory is designed for young people, parents and carers, schools, health professionals and support organisations. Services are organised to help users find the right level of support based on need, from self-help resources and early advice through to specialist mental health services and crisis support.
The directory covers five levels of support:
- Self care – online resources, apps, community activities and wellbeing support.
- Getting advice – guidance, family support, school nursing, safeguarding and community services.
- Getting help – targeted emotional wellbeing and mental health support, including counselling, school-based services and specialist interventions.
- Getting more help – specialist mental health services, CAMHS, eating disorder services and intensive therapeutic support.
- Getting risk support – urgent and crisis services for young people experiencing significant mental health difficulties or immediate risk.
The directory also highlights support relating to anxiety and stress, SEND, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), bullying, bereavement, trauma, self-esteem, identity and key life transitions.
Each entry includes a summary of the service, key areas of support and links to further information, helping families and professionals identify appropriate support at the right time.
