Temporary Part Time SEND Teaching Assistant

29 hours per week term time only (38 weeks per year + 1 week INSET)
 

The children, staff and governors of Cambridge Primary School are seeking to appoint an  Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working, dedicated team. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team to support pupils’ learning and development needs across the school, including those with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). We have 1 temporary position, initially fixed until the end of Summer 2025, due to fluctuations in pupil numbers and funding.

The successful candidates will:
•    hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification (min) in Early Years Education, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
•    work as part of a team to ensure that individual developmental needs are met
•    undertake specific training to support pupils’ health and learning needs
•    contribute to the development of an effective learning environment for all pupils
•    have excellent communication skills, particularly with very young children
•    show initiative in a range of situations
•    build positive and effective relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Teaching Assistant

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and conscientious Teaching Assistant to join our team of dedicated staff. 

The role consists of 16 hours per week Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 6pm. Term time only.  2-3.30pm supporting SEN pupils throughout school. 3.30-6pm providing After School supervision, as a member of our Wrap around care team, for children from age 2 to 11 years.

The successful candidate will: 
• Hold TA Qualification or L3 equivalent 
• Be fully supportive and committed to the Christian ethos of the school 
• Have experience of contributing to planning, monitoring and assessing pupils in partnership with the class teacher. 
• Be caring and nurturing and be fully supportive of our whole school inclusive ethos 

Experience in Early Years is essential and experience with behaviour management would be advantageous

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys cooking, baking and produce healthy nutritious meals to join our friendly and hardworking staff.  The hours of work are 9.15am – 1.45pm Monday to Friday, with an additional 1.o hour per week for ordering and shopping(There is flexibility within the start time if required).  An ability to create meals using fresh and local produce is very important. Full training will be given.

An interest in science is important but organisational skills and ‘can do’ attitude are key to this role, relevant experience is desirable but not essential as appropriate training will be provided.
