Due to the expansion of Little VIPs day care nursery at Lowther Endowed School, an exciting position has become available for a Childcare Practitioner to join our friendly team.   We are offering an attractive salary, Local Government pension, CPD and annual leave package to the right individual together with opportunities to further shape the role and contribute to the vision of Little VIPs.

PCD5 £23,893 (PCD Grade 5  paid pro rata for part-time working
Location: Little VIPs at Lowther Endowed School

Permanent  Up to 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year – overtime may be available paid at the standard hourly rate.

Summary  of main responsibilities
•    To actively pursue and assist with the implementation of the aims and policies of Little VIPs at Lowther Endowed School.
•    To ensure that the very highest standards of physical, emotional, and intellectual care are evident at all times. 
•    To create a ‘Positive and Safe Physical Environment for All children,’ conducive to the development of happy, stimulated children and team members.
•    Making sure the welfare requirements set out by Ofsted, Children’s Services and current Laws are upheld throughout the nursery at all times.
•    To help implement appropriate differentiated planning for 2-5 year olds following the New Early Years Foundation Stage EYFS
•    Plan for and respond to the needs of all children, babies, toddlers and pre-school children
•    To ensure that the daily routine for each child is acknowledged and adhered to: Children come first at all times.
•    To give appropriate support to team members when required
•    To ensure that confidentiality is strictly adhered to at all times. No information regarding the Nurseries e.g. policies and procedures, children, their development, families and team members, should be discussed outside the nursery at any time.
•    To provide activities and supervision for Lowther Endowed School Children in After School Club as agreed with the Headteacher.

Facilities Team Members

Responsible to: The Facilities and Welfare Manager

The Facilities Team looks after the school’s buildings and the outdoor environment. Working closely with the Facilities and Welfare Manager, and depending on the shift worked, the role of the Facilities Team Members includes:
•    opening and locking up at the start and end of the day 
•    carrying out risk assessments and scheduled inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and national regulations 
•    booking and supervising contractors
•    supporting with the general maintenance of school buildings.

Full training will be given in all aspects of the role and we are keen to encourage a wide range of applications.
