Update on ADHD pathways

An update on service plans for children and young people from Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT).

Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) continue to work together to identify new arrangements for the children and young people's ADHD and autism service.

We remain committed to providing the most suitable future sustainable model for our children and young people and their families and continue to recognise the long waits that young people are currently experiencing.

Update to the school-age autism pathway

New referrals for families in Lancaster and Morecambe will now be made to Blackpool Teaching Hospitals (BTH). The referral form has been shared with professionals and can also be found in the ‘Information for Professionals’ section

Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB have been working through arrangements to commission additional capacity to increase appointments for autism assessments and have come to an agreement to transfer the care of some families to BTH

Children and young people previously referred to LSCFT in Central and West Lancashire and Lancaster & Morecambe for autism assessment, who have not yet had their referral triaged or where triage information may have changed or require updating, will be transferred to BTH

Families affected will receive a letter directly from LSCFT and will be contacted by BTH following this.
