Part of the Council’s Adult Social Care Directorate, Westmorland and Furness Care Services is the in-house provider of care and support services for adults and individuals living with learning disabilities and Autism across Eden, South Lakes and Furness. Providing essential services across our communities, in a person’s own home, in Extra Care Housing and Supported Living schemes, and within our Residential Care services.
Our Service Managers are responsible for leading and maintaining the development of their service areas, ensuring the delivery of effective, person-centred outcomes for the people we support and the services we deliver. You will actively contribute to the development of both strategic and service level plans, leading the delivery of a high quality and efficient service, ensuring that all operational services deliver against the Council’s vision and key objectives.

We are looking for people who possess great leadership skills and drive to join our Service, along with the ability to foster and nurture a supportive, inclusive culture while motivating and inspiring others to generate success.
You don’t necessarily need extensive experience in a particular area of Care Services or Adult Social Care, we are looking for the right people, with the right transferable skills, ethics and values to develop our services.
