South Lakes Family Hub news - October

What we've been up to…

October has been a busy time in South Lakes, particularly over half term. We ran Cats, Bats and Pumpkins themed craft sessions in five different areas over the holiday and would like to say a huge than you to everyone who attended. All the families had a great time and shared really useful feedback to help us make the next sessions we run even better.

We’ve continued running our regular sessions, including Infant Feeding, Stay and Plays and Baby Explorers. However, we’re delighted that we’ve been able to increase our reach by beginning sessions in other areas, including stay and plays in Flookburgh and Ulverston.

We’re also now offering a wider range of activities for older children, including a Home Ed and Flexi School Club and MAXability sessions at Kendal and Ulverston. There’s also a weekly Construction Club in Kendal for budding engineers and anyone who wants to unwind at the end of a busy school day.

What we're looking forward to…

Throughout November, we’ll be running our ever-popular baby massage in Kendal.

There are still a couple of spots available so don’t miss out on this wonderful bonding opportunity. We will also be offering a five week antenatal course for soon-to-be parents, sharing invaluable advice and helping build a strong, supportive community.

North West Ambulance Service will be running a Basic Life Support Course on 26th November in Kendal and places are still available.

For parents who would like support helping their children manage their emotions, we’re running an online Diddy Decider Skills programme in December.

It’s almost that time of year again… Keep your eyes on our events and activities page for details of our plans for Christmas.

For full details of all upcoming events, as well as how to book onto them please check out our Family Hubs Activities and events page.

We hope to see you soon.
